Material

I printed the artworks on matte photo paper and mounted the prints on 3 mm foamboard. I laminated the tiles with a thin layer of matte masking tape and embedded a small neodym magnet in a hole, which I carved into the back of the tile. The magnet is then sealed with a layer of self-adhesive film, making the magnetic tile water resistant. The colours of the print are radiant and the artwork is captured with a very high level of detail.

Size

The magnetic tiles are 7 cm x 9.5 cm with a thickness of 3 mm. Due to the handmade process, there may be minor deviations in size.

The tiles ship in a discreet shipping container - free worldwide shipping. Please note that in order to minimize shipping costs, this item is delivered without shipment tracking.

Care

The tiles can be easily attached to all magnetic surfaces, inside or outside of the house, e.g. you can use the magnets as fridge magnets or kitchen magnets, or to attach notes. But the most fun part is to move these little artworks around and to explore the effect they have in different places. The magnets resist water but should not be exposed to water for long. The magnets are lightweight and feel warm to the touch, like wood - perfectly suited as a sensual gift or for home decor!

A set of 3 handcrafted magnets featuring my artwork "The Signal" (2023). My drawing builds on the trigonometric sine function, the most fundamental harmonic vibration, evoking an atmosphere of timeless serenity and peace.

This set includes 3 carefully handcrafted magnetic foamboard tiles, featuring vibrant color variations of my original pencil drawing. Due to the high saturation and contrast of the printed colors, the tiles almost seem to emit a gentle glow.
