Material

I use two different types of paper for the front and back of the cards to give my handcrafted postcards the right balance of weight and softness: the front artworks are printed on matte photo paper (130g/sm) which excellently captures the colours and fine details of the artworks. For the back of the cards, I use more sturdy, slightly off-white paper (300g/sm) and glue the two layers together. The resulting card stock is very firm and heavy, with a smooth surface and accurate prints. The back of the cards can be written on, it takes ink very well. The corners of the cards are gently rounded using a handheld corner rounding device.

This items ships via regular mail in a tasteful, fully discreet envelope. Please note that this item ships without shipment tracking.

Care

You can either mail the postcards directly or put them into an envelope or folding card for a more celebratory touch. The postcards also look great in a small photo frame! A more minimalistic home decor option is to mount the postcards on a wall using a bulldog clamp.

This set includes 4 carefully handcrafted postcards, featuring prints of my recent work:


Motifs: (in the order depicted in the first image)
1) Andrea II (2022), Soft pastels on paper with colours added digitally. A traditional, boudoir style nude artwork, warm and alluring in its palpability. The artwork is based on a photographic reference.
2) Liquid (2022), digital drawing. A modern, minimalistic line-art rendering, celebrating softness and sensuality.
3) The Receiver (2023), pencil on paper, with digitally altered colour. A traditional pencil drawing based on two photographic references. Here, I revisit the posture depicted in my previous Tarot card, "The High Priestess" (2021).
4) Stickers (2022), digital collage of vectorized pencil drawings. Originally intended as a template sheet for hand-cut stickers, this spontaneous arrangement of the four repeating silhouettes strikes me as playful, modern and lighthearted.
